This recipe, “Carnivore Eggs Benedict”, is based on a traditional dish made with English muffins, Canadian bacon, poached eggs, and hollandaise sauce.

Remember that the Carnivore version has no lemon juice in the hollandaise sauce, and you can replace the muffin with many other things, like steak.

How To Make Carnivore Eggs Benedict

Carnivore eggs benedict includes three main layers: base, sauce, and toppings. Let’s check out the ingredients and learn how to make this yummy meal.

Ingredients

  • 12 oz. chuck steak (or any cut of your preference)
  • 1 or 2 slices cooked bacon/ 1 slice cooked Canadian bacon
  • 1 egg
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 4 tsp water
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 pinch of pepper (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook the steak as you desire to use it as the base layer.
  2. Mix the egg yolk with water in a pot to make the sauce layer.
  3. Put the pot over medium heat and let it cook until you see tiny bubbles. Stir once or twice.
  4. Slice the butter into medium-sized pieces.
  5. Add the butter pieces one by one and stir constantly to make an even mixture.
  6. Let it thicken, and then remove it from the heat. Keep stirring while it's getting cool.
  7. Add salt and pepper now (if you’d like to add them and stir to mix well.
  8. Cook bacon as you desire.
  9. Fill a small pot of water with water (3 - 4 inches is enough) to start making the topping.
  10. Put the pot over the heat and let it boil.
  11. Turn the heat to low when it’s boiling, and crack the egg into the boiling pot.
  12. Let it cook for about three minutes.
  13. Bring the egg out when done, and start putting the layers together.
  14. Get a plate and put the steak on it. Pour the sauce and put the bacon and poached egg on top.
  15. Enjoy this mouth-watering combination of steak, bacon, and egg! The super yummy Carnivore eggs benedict is ready!
