Prep Time
10 mins

If you're on the Carnivore Diet, there are some things that are going to be a little different from your previous diet. One of those things is how you prepare your eggs. In this recipe, we'll show you how to prepare scotch eggs for the Carnivore Diet—and talk about why these delicious treats have become so popular among carnivores!

What are scotch eggs?

A scotch egg is a popular British snack that's made of sausage meat and hard-boiled eggs, either baked or fried. Some people prefer to eat scotch eggs cold, while others prefer them warm. If you're in the latter camp, you can heat up your scotch eggs by putting them into a saucepan of boiling water for 5 minutes or so before serving.

You can enjoy a few scotch eggs as part of an afternoon tea or as the main course for lunch or dinner—just serve them with a steak on the side!

On the Go Zero-Carb Recipes

If you are looking for a zero-carb breakfast option, eggs are an excellent choice. They are portable and can be eaten hot or cold. Eggs also contain vitamins, minerals and healthy fats. If you find yourself in a rush in the morning, hard-boiled eggs make it easy to get protein on the go. Hard-boiled eggs can be stored in an air-tight container in your fridge for up to one week without getting stale!

The simplest way of preparing eggs is by placing them into a pot with enough water to cover them completely, and then bringing the pot to a boil over high heat. Once boiling has occurred, remove from heat immediately and let sit for 15 minutes before draining out the water and letting cool completely before packing up with other items on your plate at lunch or dinner time!

Can You Eat Eggs on Carnivore Diet?

Eggs are a zero carb food, which means you can eat as many of them as you want. Eggs also happen to be one of the most nutritious foods on the planet! They're an excellent source of protein, choline and vitamin D. In addition to all that goodness, eggs are also one of the only foods that contain selenium in significant amounts. Selenium isn't just good for preventing cancer—it's essential for thyroid function and immune health too!

Choose Quality Eggs!

Eggs are a great source of protein, fat, and vitamins. You can use them as an additional breakfast or make egg dishes for dinner too! The quality of your eggs matters when cooking this diet. Choose organic, cage-free and pastured eggs whenever possible to ensure that you are getting the best nutrition from your food.
